In short

DRESDEN decals are plotter-cut from cast vinyl and applied by hand: racing stripes, competition numbers, de-chrome kits, badge overlays and interior accents. Each design is proofed digitally on your exact model before a single sheet is cut, and every decal removes cleanly without residue.

The detail

Measured to the millimetre

A car is finished by its details. A shadow-black de-chrome around the glasshouse, a pair of Le Mans stripes set exactly on the centre line, a competition roundel that sits square with the wheel arch — these are the marks that separate a considered build from a collection of parts.

Every design starts as a digital proof rendered on your exact model and colour, so you approve the proportions before we cut anything. Cutting is done on a plotter to within a fraction of a millimetre and weeded by hand; complex layered designs are pre-masked so the whole graphic transfers in one piece with the spacing intact.

We use cast film for the same reason we use it for full wraps: it will not shrink back off a curve. And because everything is film rather than paint, a decal can be removed years later without touching the surface underneath.

What you get

Four properties that matter on the road

Millimetre alignment

Centre lines are measured off the body, not the eye. Stripes stay parallel across the bonnet, roof and boot as one line.

Digital proof first

You see the design rendered on your model and colour, at scale, before we cut. Revisions cost nothing at that stage.

Residue-free removal

Cast film with a controlled-tack adhesive lifts with heat and leaves the surface underneath exactly as it was.

Layered and printed

Multi-colour layered graphics, printed gradients and UV-laminated sponsor sets for track and show cars.

Common questions

About precision decals & accents

Twenty answers across every service live on the FAQ page, including warranty terms and aftercare.

Full FAQ

A front-end film package is one to two days. Full-body film runs three to four days. A full colour change is three to six days depending on how much disassembly the model needs. Coating adds one to two days for correction and cure. We agree the window in writing before you book.

Wait seven days before the first wash so the adhesive and any coating reach full cure. After that, hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo and two buckets. Avoid automatic brush washes entirely, and keep pressure washers at a distance from film edges.

For film, sensible washing and no abrasive polishing over the edges. For coating, an annual inspection at our bay, which is included in the Signature package. We record each inspection against your warranty so there is never a dispute about coverage later.

Motorcycles regularly — tanks, fairings and panniers take stone chips harder than cars do. Marine and aviation surfaces are quoted case by case, because the substrate and the certification requirements are different from automotive paint.

Yes. The warranty is registered against the vehicle as well as the owner, and transfers with a documented sale at no cost. Buyers consistently treat a registered film and coating history as evidence of a well-kept car.
